I have been a reader of your writings for many years Lori and have truly appreciated your insight and wisdom. I have felt no need to make my presence known. But I felt a call to back this writing as you bear the truth into a very evil world. My prayer today is that as this world darkens, your words become a bright beacon of light. It is not anything magical but a reality of The Lord’s creation that any light will relieve darkness, no matter how weak that light. It is still light and by comparison in a darkening world, your light is just getting brighter and brighter 🕯️

Oh, Lori, I have been allowing myself too much time listening to the political responses - what I tell myself are the good ones that I need to keep me aware. I need This- all the truths you’ve just so clearly reminded Christ followers to hold sacred. Thank you for words of truth! I’m going to try to print this and keep it near me as I “press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus!” I’ll pray you can also my precious sister! In Christ, Cherri McAnallen

I needed to read this, too. I'm constantly jostled by the culture, forced to flow down the market street with the noise and pressure of the crowd. I need to duck into a cool, quiet chapel often. I'm thirsty in a dry and weary land. "I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, my lips with glorify You. ...My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth with praise You." [Ps 63] Thanks, Lori, for this word.

So many great points, reminiscent of a recent politics class at church. I also appreciated your reminder about Elijah.

How is it that I have never seen Theophilus as more than a singular person's name before just now? Thank you for personifying it for me, for us, friend. Friend of God.

Great challenge Lori. It does seem that nothing is sacred anymore - even funerals aren't serious. We need to align what we hear with God's word. We choose daily how to live and how to respond.

S.T.A.N.D. I am always encouraged by your writing because it speaks truth! Thank you for sharing. I have been troubled by all the misinformation around me and God keeps bringing me back to his Truth. S- submit to God. T- trust in God. A- Ask God. N- never give up on God. D- daily do these things. STAND

Your writing helps me remember what Christians need to be about in this troubled world.

Having anchors, boundaries, and definitions is an indispensable thing in these turbulent times. It's not only sacred--it's the only ground that doesn't move under our feet. Thank you for this reminder!

“…screaming into a storm…” YES!

Like you, I’m finding it more important day by day to turn to God‘s Word and find within its pages Truth for our troubling times. It’s our only certainty.

Though it sometimes feels easier to stick our heads in the sand, seeing and hearing what’s going on around us enables us to the. speak truth to the storm, even in whispers. Thank you again for your wonderful reminders, anchored in God’s Word. I love you.
